With the Super Bowl coming up, the 6th grade class is participating in the READ Bowl. We are in Quarter 3, and have heard encouragement from author Dav Pilkey, Atlanta Falcons players Zack Harrison and Justin Schaffer, and ESPN's Mike Reiss.
The class is also divided into teams in their own competition to read the most. So far the students have read a total of 4,672 minutes. We still have two quarters left to go!

8th graders began their studies of Chemistry and subatomic particles by building 2D and 3D atoms ⚛️

K-1 students celebrated with colorful snake creations for the Year of the Snake, while Grades 2-3 brought the majestic dragon to life! Grades 4-5 combined the excitement of dragon parades with their own snake creations. 3rd graders acting as constructive engineers for the day. Students made modifications to homes to help withstand windstorms. With only a few materials, they needed to brainstorm to come up with a solution to the problem.
4th graders creating sound wave replicas using jump ropes. Students needed to demonstrate the sound and pitch presented to them with the same energy from the ropes.

We had the BEST time in 7th Science today sending Mr. Chicoine on the journey to find our butterflies! Congrats to Payson, Tatum, and Fortres for being the last ones standing! Even had to help Mr. C find theirs!
