Books and Bagels book club met this morning. Had fun talking about the books we are reading and ate a few bagels.
This is a "No-stress" book club, which means we are not all reading the same book. This is open to students grades 6 through 12. We will meet once a month. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, January 8th!
The Art students are absolutely blown away by Frida, Mrs. Tassler's elf! We've had so much fun the past few days checking out all her mischievous antics. She's incredibly clever, funny, and incredibly artistic!

Congratulations to Sheridan Voorhees, Isabelle Kallhoff, Aurora Solem, Madison Bradberry, and Carter Mosiman for representing Sully Buttes at the North Area Honors Band concert this past Saturday. Students are selected based on last years All State Band scores and director nominations. Carter Mosiman was also seated 1st chair tenor saxophone. Outstanding job to all of these musicians!
Check out this incredible map created by our talented 10-12th grade art students! They've researched and visually represented Native American Reservations in South Dakota, inspired by the work of Jaune Quick-to-See Smith. This project highlights the importance of learning about Indigenous history and traditions. We encourage you to learn more about the diverse cultures of our region
Due to a scheduling conflict all remaining sports pictures, Wrestling, Boys Basketball, and Basketball Cheer will be on Wednesday after school. Picture packets can be picked up in the HS office.
The 8th graders had a wonderful time getting a nice lesson on high school from Wesley on Friday! Thank you, Wes, for giving our younger kiddos a glimpse into the awesome world of High School!!
The FFA/FCCLA Fruit, Meat & Cheese truck will be coming on Tuesday late afternoon (12/10). We are looking for adults who would be willing to come help us sort orders before the students take them home. The 6th grade English Language Arts class learned the "10 Rules for the Ride of Your Life" from the Energy Bus.
For their final project, they came up with their own rule from the book and shared it with the class.
