The seniors finished their unit on Macbeth by doing a character analysis of the main characters.

Kindergarten and 1st Graders helped save the leprechaun's treasure today. Rainbow bridges were constructed during Tech class today. Using pipe cleaners, play dough, and a small cup students were asked to create a "rainbow" to hold the leprechaun's treasure. We did a great job!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Our second graders had a blast today, creating colorful leprechaun drawings and paintings. They were so excited, imagining all the tricks those little guys might play. And of course, the big topic of the day was how they'd love to catch a leprechaun and find a pot of gold! They had some very clever plans!

Daktronics/SDASSP Academic All State Awards Are Released

The ABO School District is seeking a new head coach for our Girls’ Volleyball Team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about volleyball and dedicated to developing young ladies and athletes. If you are interested in this opportunity, please email Brian White at brian.white@k12.sd.us or Jeremy Chicoine at jeremy.chicoine@k12.sd.us. You may also call the school at (605) 258-2618. We look forward to hearing from you!
The sophomore speech class is busy practicing their presentations- sometimes you just have to talk to a wall!

Our 8th graders had a blast getting creative with clay tic-tac-toe boards! Check out their awesome original designs. For a closer look at their projects, visit Mrs. Tassler's website: https://sites.google.com/view/mrstassler/tic-tac-toe

Our 5th grade STEAM class had a blast building LEGO T-Rex robots! They practiced teamwork, honed their communication skills, and learned how to follow step-by-step instructions. Plus, they explored the mechanics of motion in robots.

The Sully Buttes Chargers had the privilege of taking 2 Acalympic teams to Philip's Middle School Acalympic Competition. Both teams represented our community admirably. It has been an honor watching these students excel and carry over their competitive spirit to their academics. Team Purple tied for 2nd place and after 2 lightning rounds, finished in 3rd! This is the highest finish we have had! Team Gold did an exceptional job for being their 1st competition! I couldn't be prouder! Please congratulate them when you see them.

Monthly reminder:

6th graders listen intently and have a lot of questions for Sully County Deputy Casey Hight during a recent "ask-a-cop" presentation to the Life Management classes.

Our 3rd grade STEAM class took on the ultimate teamwork challenge: the cup tower! They couldn't touch the cups, only the strings! It was amazing to see them communicate, strategize, and work together to build their towers. So much fun and learning in one activity!

Congratulations Sheridan V. on your selection to the U.S. Youth Senate Program in Washington D.C.!
