On Thursday, December 21st, join us for a momentous occasion as the ABO School District honors coach Senftner's legacy. We will be dedicating our basketball court to Mark Senftner, a name synonymous with dedication and excellence in our community. This special ceremony will take place immediately following the girls’ Varsity basketball game.

Seeking nominations: 2024 SPED Staff of the Year Award
The department’s Office of Special Education Programs is accepting nominations for the 2024 SPED Staff of the Year Award. Parents/guardians can nominate a special education staff member who made an outstanding contribution to the education of their child. Nominees may include SPED teachers, SPED directors, speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologist, or paraprofessional who have served in their profession for three or more years. Entries are due Jan. 19, 2024. The top five nominees will be invited to the 2024 South Dakota Special Education Conference luncheon in Sioux Falls on March 6, 2024, where the award recipient will be announced.

Students in Mr. Ahlers Physical Science class has been studying thermal energy and made homemade coolers. Today was the day to test them and see which design kept the ice cubes cold. Great creativity by all!!
Adv Bio class tested the effects of extreme cold and fatigue on muscle performance. They tested fatigue by doing 5 minutes of finger flexes with a weight attached and an ice bath for extreme cold. The notebook paper shows the effect of extreme cold on muscle performnce.
